Privacy Policy

Paira is built by Raison Studio LLC ("we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Paira app and website at paira.social.

We built Paira to help people understand their relationships. Your personal reflections and journal entries are private by design — we do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.

Information We Collect

When you create an account we collect:

• Your email address, used to identify your account
• A password (stored securely and never readable by us)

When you use the app we store:

• Journal entries and reflections you write
• Glossary terms you bookmark or interact with
• Progress data such as streak, points, and terms learned
• Voice recordings if you use the voice journal feature (stored securely and only accessible by you)

How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to provide and improve the Paira experience:

• To authenticate your account and keep your data synced across devices
• To display your learning progress and journal entries back to you
• To improve the app based on aggregated, anonymised usage patterns

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not share your personal information with third parties except as described below.

Third-Party Services

Paira uses the following third-party services to operate:

• Supabase — our database and authentication provider. Your account data and journal entries are stored on Supabase's secure servers. You can read their privacy policy at supabase.com/privacy.

Your Journal is Private

Journal entries are stored securely in your account and are only accessible to you. The app includes an optional PIN lock for additional local privacy. We do not read your journal entries.

Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing us at hello@paira.social. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

Children's Privacy

Paira is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information. All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Paira after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
